Sinus Lift Surgery

Sinus lift surgery is a treatment method usually done in the molar regions of the upper jaw and is often used in case of prolonged tooth loss and when the height of the bone is insufficient for dental implants.

Within the bones around the nose there are air-filled gaps called sinuses. Sinuses lighten the weight of the skull and ensure that our voices come out smoothly.

The sinuses hang down in the early period of tooth extraction on the upper jaw or in case of prolonged tooth loss. As a result, the bone tissue is not sufficient for dental implants. A surgical intervention is required to create bone volume as much as the length and width of the implant. This intervention is also called Sinus Lifting.

With this surgery, the sinus floor is raised and new bones are formed in the relevant area, sufficient enough for the dental implants. Adequate bone formation on the site of operation is expected 5 months after the surgical intervention implants are placed and the treatment is completed.
